Established in 1985 
W-K Trucking Inc. was
founded in February, 1985. The initial partners were brothers, Wayne & Kevin
Dobush. The one-truck operation catered mainly to production work
on the Mundare-Lamont areas. In 1987 the company decided to incorporate a second
truck and during the years to follow, the business expanded steadily. The third
brother Brian, also joined the business that year and thus contributed to the
growth that was to continue.
The year 2000 marked the
acquisition of the ninth unit to the fleet as well as sister Shauna joining the
business in the office. The expansion of W-K Trucking Inc. has continued
throughout the years with respect to shop & office expansions and the
implementation of additional staff such as dispatchers, mechanics and office
personnel.
Although the company is based
four miles north of Mundare, AB, trucks are regularly working in oil/gas fields
within all of Central Alberta.
Our two-way communications system
has towers located in both Mundare and outside Wainwright, which allows dispatch
to have immediate contact with every truck. In addition, all units are connected
on the wireless Mike network to report production levels and emergency
situations.
